Boudoir photography is an amazing thing; it allows women to shed their inhibitions with their clothing and show off their femininity, sexiness and confidence. April is an amazing boudie to work with! Her curves are absolutely amazing to work with and she came armed with ideas and wardrobe options.
We started with a pink dress that is actually part of my studio wardrobe, as well as her pointe shoes. These images are more soft and girly and I adore how they turned out. From there, we moved to the bed with a couple different outfits; a gorgeous green lace body suit and a red bra and panty set. Both provided a nice pop of color and are very flattering to April’s body. We also went for a non-outfit choice of nothing but a white sheet. The best thing about a white sheet is the simplicity of the white, just you underneath, and the implication. After this was when we really started playing with light and some new studio pieces. I’m very excited to have expended the studio furniture to include a couple of Queen Anne chairs that allow for a lot of posing options, but also some dramatic light.
