It’s Not Just About Lingerie | Stafford Boudoir Photographer

Recently I’ve realized that many women look at boudoir photography and sessions with all kinds of preconceived notions. I’d like to debunk a few of them! Today, we’re going to have a talk about wardrobe.

Yes, awesome lingerie is an amazing wardrobe choice for your boudoir session! There is no denying that and I’m not going to. But you do have some other options!

Casual wear. Seriously. Bring tank tops, t shirts, sweaters, socks, jeans. It’s an amazing feeling to come into a session and rock a white t shirt or tank top and look AMAZING! Added bonus, next time you put on that shirt, you’ll remember your session and get that awesome confidence boost you got in the studio!

Sportswear. Jerseys, a sports bra & leggings. Same thing! You can totally rock your fitness look in the studio and not only show off how amazingly fit you are, but you’ll feel awesome every time you wear it again. Plus it really makes the session more YOU when you incorporate your interests & hobbies into your session.

His wear. Uniforms, his shirt, his hat, tie, you name it! There’s something that really hits a guy in the fun zone when he sees his lady in his clothes. Most sessions are intended as gifts for him, so we can totally play that up!

Clothes that aren’t clothes! A white sheet, a long piece of fabric, carefully placed hair or props. We can always play with ideas in the studio.

Here are some ladies who thought a bit outside of the box during their sessions to create some really interesting images! These are simply some suggestions! At the end of the day, your wardrobe choices come down to what makes YOU feel amazing and confident!

This is awesome! So many women are afraid to try a boudoir session because they feel they have to bare all or wear lingerie, but this proves otherwise! I love all these images, and they show your skills as a photographer as well. You have taken boudoir in Stafford to a new level!

I love these alternatives for Boudoir portraits. Then you’re not limited to what lingerie is available around Stafford, but you can just “go shopping” in your own closet and still look amazing for your photo session! Brilliant!

Neat! I had no idea that you could still get beautiful and sexy boudoir photos just using socks! I think this is really great for people who would rather not spend a lot of money on a new piece of lingerie just for a photography session. And I imagine wearing your own familiar clothes would make you feel a bit more comfortable.

This is fantastic information! So many possibilities in a boudoir session…but most important something that fits each client perfectly. Says a lot about you as a photographer and how comfortable and fun you make each session.
