It feels so good to be back! Kayla messaged me about booked a Saturday sunrise photo shoot, which meant starting at 6:30 am. She was also up for any location I wanted so we agreed to meet in Downtown New Bern, which meant leaving my house around 5:30 am, and they had to leave even earlier from their home in Richlands!! It was a bit chilly that morning since our nice, warm weather seems to have vanished with the rain last week. Kayla and Brock brought their three precious little ones, Kahlan, Bethany, and Aiden, and braved the chilliness to get some awesome photos. Downtown New Bern is an amazing place for a photo session for a couple of different reasons. The light is a photographer’s dream, there are all kinds of interesting backdrops just by turning. In fact, because it was chilly and we had three littles to keep happy, ALL of these photos were taken within about twenty feet of each other. There are definitely more areas left to explore and I look forward to every opportunity to do so in the next three years!
Aww! What an adorable family! My favorites are the ones by the fountain. The downtown New Bern area turned out perfect! I love all the different backdrops that were so close together. This family must love their photos.
They sure look happy for having to get up so early! Sweet sweet sweet family session in Jacksonville, NC. I love the New Bern area. Makes a great backdrop for this family.
What a beautiful family – and how brave of them to schedule a sunrise session with 3 little ones! It looks like their family portrait session went great though!
Busy family with their 3 young children! I can’t imagine it was very easy to get out the door for sunrise photos in Jacksonville that early in the morning — for the family or for you as the family photographer!
