I can’t believe that Eleanor is FOUR! It seems like just yesterday we took her 2 1/2 year photos to announce becoming a big sister down in North Carolina. Fortunately, my best friend, and her mom, moved up here in 2020 so when my family moved here we already had family in the area. I was so excited that this meant I could bring Eleanor to my favorite Fredericksburg location, Alum Springs Park, for her birthday photos this year.
Eleanor is such a great little girl! In addition to being absolutely adorable, she’s a fantastic big sister and is starting to learn piano this year. She has such a great imagination and when it came to photos with Auntie, her one request was that she got to twirl. I was more than happy to comply with this idea!
We started on the bridge over the water, it has beautiful light (and some great leading lines!) and was just a fun spot for Eleanor to be able to play without being able to get too far. Next, we let her run some energy in the field and let her play with her flowers. Finally, we ended in the water itself. Please note that the water was super shallow, mom and I were both nearby and watching her like hawks. Safety is always a top priority during sessions. We want you to leave your session with fun memories, beautiful images, and that is all.
In addition to posed and smiling at the camera images, I really wanted to show Eleanor’s personality. You’ll see what I mean when you scroll through the images, there are a few that had her mom and I laughing.
