Ms P came to our Jacksonville NC area studio about in November for her holiday boudoir session. We wanted to give the feel of Christmas while still keeping her images timeless and classy. When she booked her session, she booked our Starlet package, giving her use of all four of our sets: bedroom, sitting room, red room, and shower. Hair and makeup were done by the always awesome Mercedes Quinn. Litalee was also on hand to assist.
Ms P’s first set was the bedroom set in this amazing rose teddy from Victoria’s Secret. I love this color on her and the teddy itself is super flattering for her figure. The sun was shining the day of her session and we were able to exclusively use natural light in this set. We did quite a bit of posing on the bed including lying down, lounging, and kneeling poses. Ms P was a great sport as we moved her around. To add a POP of Christmas to her images, we added some rose gold ornaments on the bed with her.
Her next outfit was a teal lace teddy and I adore the jewel tone of it. We started in the bedroom set and played with mirror posing. Next, we transitioned to the sitting room and onto the couch. Finally onto our super comfy sheepskin rug and a red rose, which combined with the green bodysuit to add a subtle hint of Christmas colors. Like I said, we wanted subtle holiday vibes and I think we pulled it off quite well.
For her second outfit in the sitting room, she pulled the red robe from our client closet. There’s something so bougie about the robe with the couch and I adore the combination. For her last robe pose, Ms P laid on the floor with the robe around her head. We also added some white and silver ornaments for a pop of Christmas and some contrast.
Then it was time to drop the robe and head into the red room. In there we started playing with our lighting options and worked with mostly standing poses. For her second outfit in the red room, she put on a black lace robe over a lacy teddy and some strappy heels. Once again, she dropped the robe and we added some drama with the light (including a blue black light!). Lastly, we put her in the arch pose, which she totally rocked!
Finally, we moved to the shower set to finish her session. She opted to wear a white t shirt and you know what happens when white t shirts get wet! All of these images were taken using our light wants, held by Litalee. The water and steam on the glass shower really add some great texture to the images. We do use a real shower in this set, you can even see the water streaming behind her!
Overall, Ms P absolutely rocked her holiday boudoir session in all of our sets.
